FAQ
Take care of your mares by exporting them.
Your mares and the information you add in the app are valuable. That is why we have made it easy to export and import them when needed, since FoalFollow don't yet have a server. All information are stored locally on your device.
With export, you can create your own backup of your data. This gives you extra peace of mind if you change phones, need to reinstall the app, or simply want to make sure the information you have registered is safely stored.
When you export, your mares are saved in a file that you can keep in a safe place, such as Files, iCloud, Google Drive, or email. If you ever need them again, you can easily import the same file back into the app.
We recommend exporting your data from time to time, especially before changing devices or making major changes.
How to do it
- Go to Settings in the app
- Choose Export to save your mares to a file
- Store the file in a safe place
- When you want to restore your data, go to Settings again
- Choose Import and open the file you saved
