This Privacy Policy explains how FoalFollow ("FoalFollow", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information in connection with the FoalFollow mobile application and related services.

2. SCOPE

 

This Privacy Policy applies to the FoalFollow mobile application made available through Apple App Store and Google Play, including its premium subscription functionality, local reminder functionality, image handling, and related in-app features.

 

3. CATEGORIES OF INFORMATION

 

Depending on how you use the app, we and our service providers may process the following categories of information:

 

3.1 Information you provide directly

 

- Names and details you choose to register for mares, stallions, foals, pregnancies, foaling, breeding events, notes, and checklists.

- Photos you choose to attach to app records.

- Language selection and certain in-app preferences.

 

3.2 Information generated through your use of the app

 

- Local reminder and notification records, including reminder content, scheduled date, delivery status, and related in-app notification history.

- Information about whether premium access, free trial access, or free access is active in the app.

 

3.3 Device and technical information

 

- Device type, operating system, app version, and technical identifiers made available by the platform or integrated SDKs.

- Advertising-related identifiers, such as advertising ID or similar platform identifiers, where applicable.

- Product identifiers, purchase status, entitlement status, trial status, restore status, and similar subscription-related metadata made available by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.

 

4. HOW INFORMATION IS COLLECTED

- Directly from you when you enter content into the app.

- From your device when you grant permission to access photos or notifications.

- From Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat in connection with subscription purchase, free trial eligibility, entitlement verification, and purchase restoration.

- From Google Mobile Ads and related advertising services when ads are served in the app.

 

5. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

 

We process information for the following purposes:

 

- To provide the core functionality of FoalFollow.

- To store, display, and manage the records you create in the app.

- To allow you to select, crop, store, and display images connected to your records.

- To schedule, deliver, and manage local reminders and notification inbox content.

- To remember your settings and improve usability.

- To determine eligibility for premium features, free trials, and subscription-based access.

- To process in-app purchases and restore previous purchases.

- To display advertising in the free version of the app.

- To maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the app and its technical integrations.

7. LOCAL DEVICE STORAGE

 

FoalFollow is designed so that much of the content you enter is stored locally on your device rather than in a dedicated FoalFollow cloud account system.

 

This may include, among other things:

 

- mare, pregnancy, breeding, foaling, and offspring records

- notes and checklist content

- image file references and locally stored image files created by the app

- reminder history and certain application settings

 

Because such information is primarily stored locally on your device, you generally control it directly through the app, your device settings, or by deleting the app and its local data.

 

8. PHOTOS AND IMAGE ACCESS

 

FoalFollow may request access to your device photo library so that you can select images for use in the app. Access is used only for image-related app functions you initiate. Selected images may be processed locally, including resizing and cropping, and stored locally on your device for use inside the app.

 

You may deny or revoke photo access at any time through your device settings, but certain app features may then become unavailable or limited.

 

9. NOTIFICATIONS

 

FoalFollow may request permission to send local notifications and reminders. If permission is granted, the app may schedule local reminders and maintain an in-app reminder history associated with those reminders.

 

Notification permissions can be managed or revoked in your device settings.

 

10. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND IN-APP PURCHASES

 

FoalFollow offers premium features through subscriptions.

 

Subscription-related processing may involve:

 

- Apple App Store or Google Play for payment processing and subscription management

- RevenueCat for subscription status verification, entitlement handling, product metadata, and purchase restoration

 

We do not receive or store your complete payment card details. Payment information is handled by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies.

 

11. ADVERTISING

 

FoalFollow uses Google Mobile Ads in connection with the free version of the app. Advertising services may process certain device, network, or advertising-related information, including advertising IDs or similar identifiers, for ad delivery, measurement, and, where applicable, personalization.

 

On iOS, tracking-related processing may depend on Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework and your device-level choices. On Android, advertising ID-related processing may be subject to platform controls and your device settings.

 

12. SHARING OF INFORMATION

 

We do not sell personal information.

 

We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients where necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:

 

- Apple, Google, and their app marketplace/payment infrastructure providers

- RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement services

- Google and related advertising service providers for ad delivery and measurement

- Other apps or services only where you intentionally use a share function provided by your device or the app

14. DATA RETENTION

 

Information stored locally in the app generally remains on your device until you edit or delete it, remove the app, or clear local app data.

 

Information processed by third-party service providers, such as subscription-related or advertising-related information, is retained according to those providers' own retention schedules and legal obligations.

 

15. SECURITY

 

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the app and its integrated services to reduce privacy and security risks. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

You should avoid entering information that is unnecessary for the app's intended use, and you should avoid storing highly sensitive personal information in free-text fields unless strictly necessary and appropriate.

Because much of FoalFollow's user-entered content is stored locally on your device, many correction and deletion actions can be performed directly by you inside the app or by deleting the app from your device.

FoalFollow is not intended for children as a primary audience, and we do not knowingly design the app to solicit personal information from children. If you believe that information has been processed inappropriately in this context, please contact us.

 

18. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

 

FoalFollow may rely on third-party technologies and services, including but not limited to:
